The timer stops when I leave the app. How do I fix this?
Ascend is designed to keep your timer running in the background. Make sure notifications are enabled for Ascend in your iPhone Settings. Go to Settings > Notifications > Ascend and turn on Allow Notifications. This allows Ascend to alert you when your session ends even when the app is minimized or your screen is locked. If the timer still stops, try force-closing other apps to free up memory, then restart your focus session.
My tasks disappeared after I logged out and back in. What happened?
All your tasks are saved to your account on our servers, not just on your device. If your tasks appear missing after logging in, pull down on the task list to refresh and they should reload. If tasks are still missing after refreshing, please contact us at [email protected] with your username and we will investigate.
My streak reset even though I studied today. Can it be restored?
Streaks are calculated based on completed focus sessions. A streak day is counted when you complete at least one full focus session before midnight in your local time zone. If your streak reset incorrectly, for example you completed a session but the streak still reset, please email us at [email protected] with your username and the date this happened. We can review your session history and restore the streak if it reset in error.
